Made with just three ingredients, Everything Parmesan Crisps are quick, savory crackers that pair perfectly with a glass of wine, make delightful croutons for salads, or are simply a satisfying nibble to brighten your day.
Best of all, they’re ready in under 15 minutes. Read on to see how simple they are.
I’m a complete cheese lover, and I also like to be frugal.
When I spotted a small container of Everything Parmesan Crisps near the gourmet cheeses at the store for about $8 for a dozen, I wanted them immediately. But that price nudged my frugal side, so I bought a large bag of grated Parmesan instead. At home I mixed it with Everything Bagel seasoning, a little flour, and baked them into a lovely stack of crisps.

With homemade crisps, you get many more servings for a fraction of the cost, and they taste fantastic.
Everything Parmesan Crisps are ideal for entertaining, salad toppings, snack plates, or just for enjoying a crunchy, cheesy bite any time.
Parmesan Cheese Crisps?
Use a good-quality Parmesan and, when possible, grate it yourself from a block. Pre-grated Parmesan often contains additives such as potato starch or cellulose to prevent clumping. Those ingredients can affect the texture and how the cheese melts.
If you use pre-grated cheese, the crisps will still work, but the final texture may be a touch more crumbly. Avoid very powdery cheeses when possible — they tend to scorch around the edges and don’t melt as gracefully.

Can I make cheese crisps with other cheeses?
Yes. Many hard or semi-hard cheeses work well for crisps. If you enjoy experimenting, try different varieties after you’ve made the Parmesan version to learn how the textures and flavors change. Start with Everything Parmesan Crisps to master the basic method, then substitute your favorites to find new delicious combinations.
How to Make Parmesan Crisps
For best results, grate Parmesan from a block. If you can’t, pre-grated cheese will do in a pinch — just avoid fine powdery versions that don’t melt well.
If you don’t have Everything Bagel seasoning, you can make your own seasoning blend using sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried minced garlic and onion, and salt. Keep in mind that commercial Everything seasoning can be quite salty, and Parmesan itself is salty. Taste and adjust the amount of seasoning you use if you prefer less salt.
A small cookie cutter (2½ to 3 inches) can help shape uniform crisps, but it’s optional. Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat — this makes removing the crisps much easier.
After baking, allow the crisps to rest on the pan for 2 to 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. This brief cooling time helps them set and become crisp without breaking.

3-Ingredient Everything Parmesan Crisps
Rebecca Lindamood
Ingredients
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons Everything seasoning to 2 tablespoons
- 1 generous tablespoon all-purpose flour
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.
-
In a bowl, toss together the grated Parmesan, Everything seasoning, and flour. Drop generous tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared pan, spacing piles about 4 inches apart — the cheese spreads a lot while baking. To make uniform shapes, press the cheese into a 2½–3 inch cookie cutter placed on the sheet.
-
Bake 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and golden with slightly darker edges. Let the crisps cool on the pan for 2 minutes, then transfer carefully to a cooling rack to cool completely.
