Chicken Taco Supreme Pizza Recipe — Crispy, Cheesy & Loaded
Cook’s Notes
- For best results, use the dough and technique from The Best Pan Pizza method—the pan crust is perfect for holding all these toppings.
- The ideal chicken for this recipe is leftover Slow-Cooker Sriracha Honey Barbecue Chicken. If you use a plain shredded chicken (like slow-cooker shredded chicken), toss it with hot sauce or taco sauce to taste so the chicken stays moist while baking.
- Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before adding fresh taco toppings. This prevents the lettuce and other vegetables from wilting from oven heat.
- I prefer iceberg lettuce on taco pizza for its crisp crunch. Reserve more delicate lettuces for salads; you want something with texture here.

Chicken Taco Supreme Pizza
Rebecca Lindamood
Ingredients
- One batch of The Best Pan Pizza Dough, prepared and risen in two well-oiled cast-iron skillets or 8-inch cake pans
- 2 1/2 cups leftover Slow-Cooker Honey Sriracha Barbecue Chicken OR Slow-Cooker Shredded Chicken tossed with taco sauce and/or hot sauce to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Pepper Jack cheese
Toppings:
- shredded iceberg lettuce
- chopped fresh tomatoes
- chopped fresh cilantro
- sliced ripe avocados
- Fritos
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 550°F.
-
Divide the shredded, sauced chicken evenly between the two pans of dough and spread it out. Sprinkle each pizza with 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup Cheddar, and 1/2 cup Pepper Jack. Bake for 12 to 20 minutes, depending on how crisp you like the crust. Remove the pizzas and use a flexible spatula to loosen the edges, then gently transfer each pizza to a cutting board. Let rest at least 5 minutes before slicing.
-
After slicing, top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onion, avocado, cilantro, and Fritos. Serve immediately. Leftovers keep best if you remove the chips and fresh vegetables before storing; reheat the pizza and add fresh toppings when ready to serve.

I also have to mention the serving board I used. The moment I saw this vinyl-look worktop saver by Joseph Joseph I knew it had to come home with me. Its size and shape are perfect for our date-night pizzas. I always find quirky household pieces I love at JCPenney, and this was no exception. My friends at JCPenney offered to give a reader a $100 JCPenney gift card so they can find something that fits their style. To enter, respond to one of the prompts below in the comments.
